Pennsylvania recertification requirements
To maintain or renew PA EMS certification, providers must complete the required continuing education credits for their certification level and hold a current PA DOH approved CPR card. The total required credits for each level is: EMR - 16, EMT - 24, AEMT/Paramedic - 36. Of the total required hours 75% of the need to be in clinical patient care and core education.
