Accessibility Statement

Prodigy EMS is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. Our mission is to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment by providing tools and resources that meet recognized accessibility standards.

Our commitment

We strive to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Revised Section 508 standards, so that our platform is accessible and usable by people with a wide range of needs. This includes designing, developing and maintaining features that support screen readers, keyboard navigation, text resizing and other assistive technologies.

Conformance status

Prodigy EMS partially conforms with WCAG 2.0 Level A and Level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some parts of the platform do not yet fully meet the standard. We publish a detailed Accessibility Conformance Report based on the VPAT® 2.5Rev template, covering WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA and Revised Section 508 Chapters 3, 5 and 6. It records our status against every individual success criterion, including the ones we do not yet meet.

The current report covers Prodigy EMS v6.22.0 and is dated 20 August 2026. To request a copy, contact us using the details below.

How we assess accessibility

Accessibility is checked continuously rather than only at release time:

  • An automated accessibility audit runs against the live application on every code change, covering representative pages across all five user roles. Failures in the WCAG “Perceivable” category block the change from shipping.
  • Automated checks run in our development tooling as code is written, enforcing text alternatives, control labelling and correct roles.
  • Manual review covers keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader behaviour and complex interactions across key workflows such as signing in, taking a course and completing a quiz.

Our assessment is carried out by the Prodigy EMS technical team. It has not been evaluated by an independent third-party auditor.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where we fall short than imply we meet a standard we do not. As of 20 August 2026, we are aware of the following limitations:

  • Colour contrast. Body text meets the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio, but some elements using our brand colours fall below it. A revised colour palette is in progress.
  • Skip links and landmarks. Pages do not yet offer a “skip to content” link or landmark regions for bypassing repeated navigation.
  • Page titles. The browser page title does not currently change as you move between pages.
  • Keyboard focus. Most of the interface shows a clear focus indicator, but some controls — including the main navigation — do not.
  • Accessibility preferences. The platform does not yet offer in-product accessibility settings such as a high-contrast mode.
  • Audio descriptions. Video content is captioned, but not all videos include audio descriptions of on-screen visuals.
  • Exported documents. Certificates and transcripts exported as PDFs may lack full tagging and alternative text for images.

Each of these is tracked as active work, and this statement is reviewed whenever our conformance report is reissued.

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Prodigy EMS, we want to hear about it. Please tell us what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology, browser and operating system you were using — that detail helps us reproduce and fix the problem quickly.

Email support@prodigyems.com, or reach us through our contact page. We aim to respond within five business days.

If you need information from Prodigy EMS in an alternative format, contact us using the same details and we will work with you to provide it.
