Oklahoma recertification requirements
Oklahoma follows the NREMT NCCP model for recertification. Providers certified after April 1, 2010 must maintain their NREMT certification and renew with a current NREMT card. Providers licensed before April 1, 2010 who did not maintain NREMT may renew a state-only license by completing continuing education that meets the NCCP guidelines — EMR 16, EMT 40, Intermediate/AEMT 50, Paramedic 60 hours, with at least 10% in pediatric content — plus a current CPR (and ACLS for paramedics) card and a physician skills verification for Intermediates and Paramedics.
