Montana recertification requirements
Montana follows the NREMT NCCP model for recertification, and that is the entire continuing education requirement — there are no additional Montana-specific hours or topics. Under ARM 24.112.2101 you show proof of continued competency with either a current active or inactive NREMT card, or a certificate of completion of the NCCP training signed by your lead instructor or medical director. Emergency Care Provider licenses renew every two years by March 31 through the Montana eBiz portal. As of January 1, 2026, ECPs are regulated by the Department of Labor & Industry Emergency Care Provider Program rather than the Board of Medical Examiners.
