Minnesota recertification requirements
Minnesota providers renew through the OEMS eLicense portal by March 31 of their expiration year, choosing one renewal option: NREMT renewal, the NCCP model, or 48 hours of continuing education (state-only EMTs may also use a 24-hour refresher). Prodigy follows the continuing education option — Minnesota accepts CE consistent with the U.S. DOT National EMS Education Standards, including refresher education from national online EMS education platforms. Note that under the NCCP option, the core NCCR hours must be taught by a Minnesota-approved education program. A current CPR credential is required at all levels, and paramedics must also hold a current ACLS credential.
